The FLOWIT story

2017

The problem

While planning their annual performance reviews, Bilâl Tahris and Suat Demokan realize that traditional methods no longer work in today’s world. As a response to the changing world of work and with the aim of establishing a new culture of communication in companies, FLOWIT is born.
2018

The solution

The implementation of the first functional version (MVP) at ARTEK AG proves to be a resounding success. The FLOWIT platform is used across all levels of the company and significantly improves the culture of communication as well as levels of appreciation shown towards employees.
2019

Optimization

Low-threshold usability is the primary focus of the platform’s further development. The application is continuously revised and adapted in cooperation with employees. There are always new ideas for new functions and options, which in turn allows FLOWIT to become an increasingly comprehensive platform.
2020

Founding

At this point, the number of external companies expressing interest in the platform continues to grow. FLOWIT AG is founded in December 2020 with the goal of giving every company the opportunity to take an active approach to personnel development. The core team continues to grow and take shape over the coming months.
2021

Launch

FLOWIT is developed by an interdisciplinary team from the fields of data science and AI, human resources, IT, science and corporate management. New features are added. From Q3 2021, FLOWIT offers companies easy access to a digital, highly agile form of personnel development.
2022

HR Award

During the HR Festival europe 2022 in Zurich, the FLOWIT team wins the Swiss HR Award 2022 in the category Start-up. After two successful days at the trade fair, many interesting meetings and discussions, we were overjoyed to win the final pitch.
2023

Strong growth

A good 1.5 years after the go-live of the HR platform, FLOWIT starts the scaling process. More than 60 customers with a total of over 10,000 employees are using the SaaS solution for digital and AI-supported HR development. As an example, FLOWIT wins a public tender organised by Basel University Hospital against 5 competitors.
2024

Swiss Economic Award

Every year at the Swiss Economic Forum, nine nominated finalists are given the opportunity to pitch their business idea to the first-class jury and influential players from Swiss business, science and politics. FLOWIT wins the Swiss Economic Award 2024 in the Category Services.
August 2024

FLOWIT closes first financing round

FLOWIT has successfully completed its first financing round, raising CHF 4 million. The round was led by co-lead investors VI Partners, Alstin Capital (Carsten Maschmeyer's fund) and business angel Daniel Gutenberg. FLOWIT plans to use the fresh capital to offer its customers even more added value and drive forward its internationalisation.
